Protect Your Phone During WaterSports

This summer, keeping your expensive gadgets away from water should be one of your top priorities. We recommend spending a little extra cash getting yourself a watertight cover or bag if you’re going to be out enjoying any form of watersports.

Avoid soaking your phone or gadget this summer by taking the following precautionary measures:
 - Buy yourself a dry case, airtight sealable container so that you don’t need to worry when you’re around the water.
 - There are waterproof phone cases available, including this one we recommend from Overboard for £18.75. You can call, text and make full use of your phone with this case.
 - Just go 'analog'… remember that there's nothing with reading a regular old book once in a while!

If you are unfortunate enough to let it come into contact with water, please don't panic. There are ways of saving it! First, remove the battery, SIM card and memory card from inside. If your device has a non-removable battery, switch it off immediately. Then, place the device in a bowl of rice as soon as possible and leave it for a few days. Hopefully by following these simple steps, you can save your beloved gadget!

From kayaking to kite-surfing, make sure you’re protected this summer! We can offer you insurance protection from as little as £1.49, which includes screen and liquid damage. If your device gets wet, we’ll send out a safe, pre-paid package for you to pop your phone in, once we’ve approved your claim.
