Samsung Galaxy Note 3

How long have you had it: I've had my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 for 6-7 months now.

Battery Life: The battery life is great on this phone. It’s a lot better than the older Samsung, which would die within a couple of hours, but still not as good as the iPhone in my opinion. If you make sure that apps are turned off when you are not using them it helps, but overall the battery life could be better.

Camera: The camera is a lot better than other phones I've used. The pictures are very clear, with crisp, sharp colours. Apparently the newest Samsung is even better.... can't wait to test it.

Design: I like the look of the textured back on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. It really stands out from other phones, and looks expensive. The screen layout is clean and not too crowded.

Usability: The best thing about this is the stylus, and the fact that you can have multiple windows open at the same time. It allows me to have many social media apps open at once on one screen, which saves a lot of time opening and closing them individually. The stylus is great for fast texting and generally navigating around social media apps quickly.

Do you regret getting it: No, it does run like a little computer, so needs restarting now and then. However it's very good, and the applications you can download, and the flexibility of this phone more than makes up for the restarting problem.

What’s the worst point: The fact that you need to restart it now and then, and definitely more often than other phones I've had. If you just want to use the phone quickly it can be a bit annoying, but being aware of this problem before you buy it will help, as the positive points far outweigh this one negative, in my opinion.

What’s the best point: The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is an all-round really good phone and I wouldn't want to change it.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2

How long have you had it: I've had this phone for roughly 1 year.

Battery Life: The battery lasts for about 1 day. It doesn't seem to last as long as it used to when I first had the phone though. If you use the phone to download a lot of information, you might find that it runs down quickly.

Camera: It’s a very good camera, and I love the effects that come with it too. Pictures are clear and sharp, and can compete on quality with a dedicated camera.

Design: The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is a nice design, and I much prefer the size compared to my previous iPhone. It has a large screen so it is easy to view websites, social media etc.

Usability: The phone is very easy to use. It took a little while to get used to after having an iPhone, but now seems very easy. Opening and closing apps, downloading information and texting/calling etc are really straightforward – I don’t think usability would be an issue for anyone.

Do you regret getting it: No, not at all – overall it’s a great phone that offers everything I need.

What’s the worst point: It does have its moments sometimes and will need re-starting, but that's about it.

What’s the best point: Everything about the phone; particularly the size of the screen. It’s so easy to keep up with friends on social media, view blogs and websites on the move, and generally use it as I would use a computer. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has everything I need, and I wouldn't want to change it.
